Rum and Reggae Wednesdays are bigger and better this summer!

To compliment our existing, delicious Rum Cocktails, the kitchen team have developed an incredible Caribbean inspired menu full of vibrant, fresh, spicy flavours.

Available only on Wednesdays, the exciting new menu offers:

All washed down with our exotic, refreshing Rum cocktails- to a cool reggae soundtrack.

COCKTAIL MASTERCLASS!!

We had a super fun group in the restaurant for a masterclass takeover last week.

The guys picked their 3 favourite 3 cocktails and our cocktail expert Jacob was on hand to teach loads of pro tips and tricks to make each drink awesome!!

Each guest had their own individual cocktail making kit- from shakers to muddlers, garnish to Chase spirits- we had it covered. Tables in the restaurant were moved and rearranged to make sure everyone had their own workspace and ensure the best view of Jacob doing his thang!!

The afternoon started with Prosecco on arrival, followed by their own cocktail creations as they learnt how to make them (obvs!) and a Shack pizza- they were fully set up to carry on partying all evening!

The guys nailed it!! Everyone made delicious cocktails and there was loads of energy and laughter. The Shack way of getting it done!

We love hosting the masterclasses and it’s fun to make them personal for every group that visits.

Sunday the 14th May saw our first Shackoustic Sundays gig of 2017.

The Shack was turned into an awesome venue with tables rearranged to surround the stage. A good crowd came down and listen to amazing live music to ease them out of their weekend.

The 13th to the 19th of March was National Butchers Week- so Rich headed down to see Mark and Dan at Herefordshire Meats to show you how we source the meat for restaurant.

We are Herefordshire farmers sons, so supporting local producers matters. As many ingredients as possible are sourced from local suppliers and we’re always keen to share and see the best that our area can offer.

Our Steak and Cheese pizza uses sirloin steak, so butchers Mark and Dan showed us exactly where the sirloin comes from.

The joint is from the back of a beef animal, near the ribs- it’s why it tastes so good and is so tender. It doesn’t do much work!

Rich also got to give butchery a go on a beautiful pedigree, dry aged, Hereford heifer that had been farmed then butchered within 30 miles of the restaurant!

Awesome!!

9th of February was National Pizza day.

A big day at the Shack- we needed to celebrate!

After the success of our Golden Apple competition last Christmas, we figured it was time you guys had the chance to win again. 100 specially made Shack Golden Tickets were placed underneath our pizzas for a few weeks and anyone who found a ticket won a free pizza on the house.

Find a ticket, get a pizza on us, SIMPLE!!

All the lucky winners had to do was tag us in a selfie with their ticket and next time they came to the restaurant the free pizza was there’s. We loved seeing all your photo’s and it is awesome to see everyone so happy.
